Failure Analysis: Discover the 8 Key Reasons for Failure

Do you wonder why you are not moving forward in life? Why do you constantly run into barriers and then give up? Why one person can be successful in life and another cannot?

There are 8 reasons why people fail. If you now read on, you will learn what these are so that failure will be a thing of the past for you.

Everyone is on a mighty mission

Believe it or not, everyone comes into this world with their own unique gifts and a mighty mission. You often just have to discover them.

  • Do you know what your unique gifts are?
  • Do you know what mighty mission you are on?

Without a powerful mission, you will wander through the world and continuously make choices based on what you ‘think’ you are worth or capable of. Only when you know deep down what you are REALLY WORTH can you be successful.

AND NO…
Before I give you the most important insights into why people fail, I want to make one thing very clear to you:

The secret to genius is not genetics but daily practice married with

Truly successful people act like this:

THEY SIMPLY UTILIZE WHATEVER TALENT THEY HAVE MORE THAN THEIR PEERS IN THEIR INDUSTRY.

So start living your life based on your unique gifts and discover what a mighty mission you are on. Once you have this clear, the powerful insights below will come in handy immediately!

#01. Fears Greater Than Faith

Fear stops many people from actually living a successful life. Before they even start a new challenge or career, work on better health, or perhaps ask for more money as an entrepreneur, they are already anxious. There are basically 3 fears:

  • Fear of Loss
  • Fear about Process
  • Fear about Outcome

These 3 types of fears are driven by a limited mindset. Therefore successful people train their mindset daily. This was one of the most important activities for me to achieve breakthrough after breakthrough for myself. Before I started training my mindset, I often kept myself small, thinking that I wasn’t good enough or that I had started too late.

All these silly and foolish thoughts keep us ‘small.’ Do you really want to become successful? Then it’s important to take control of your mindset. This will also help you to easily push aside the fears that hold you back. Fears should only be acknowledged to immediately bid them farewell so that you can continue on your mission path.

#02. Underestimating The Impact Of The Brain

People who fail are not aware of the influence of their brains. Understanding that influence would immediately make them many times more successful.

Why? Because having a healthy brain goes hand in hand with a conscious lifestyle. Successful people are busy maintaining and developing their brains every day.

Successful people:

  • Exercise regularly;
  • Hardly watch TV;
  • Spend very little time on social media, WhatsApp, news, etc.;
  • Are moderate with alcohol;
  • Don’t smoke;
  • Eat healthy;
  • Read a lot;

People who fail waste their brain bandwidth (and yes you really have it!) on silly, non-useful things, such as social media, going out a lot, and not exercising much.

I spend at least 3 hours everyday training and developing my brain.

I do this, among other things, by:

  • Get enough sleep (at least 7 hours of good sleep);
  • Drink enough (at least 5 liters of water per day);
  • Meditation;
  • To walk;
  • Read;
  • Exercising daily;
  • Breathing exercises;
  • Brain programs for brain training;
  • Correct supplementation;
  • Intermittent fasting and healthy eating: 70% vegetables, 30% protein, and supplement with healthy fats.

I know better than anyone how important a healthy brain is. In the book I am currently writing, the brain is also one of the topics. Therefore, give yourself more time to develop and train your brain.

THE BRAIN YOU WERE BORN WITH IS NOT THE BRAIN YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH.

In short: by making the right daily choices, you can train your brain to become more successful.

#03. Not Enough Practice

I don’t need to tell you that by practicing more, you get better at something. However, it’s striking to see how quickly people give up. Think about all those ‘good’ New Year’s resolutions. After 2 or 3 weeks, the resolutions are abandoned.

The same goes for activities in the field of personal development such as meditation, yoga, exercising more, living healthier, etc. It often doesn’t last longer than three weeks. It’s not surprising that many people fail in this world. They simply practice too little, resulting in giving up too quickly.

If you want to be successful in life, you simply shouldn’t give up. Practice every day.

In fact, do one thing every day that is completely outside your comfort zone. This ensures that new paths are created in your brain.

If you want to learn a new habit, it takes 66 days. Around halfway, it becomes very difficult, that’s the point where most people give up, but…

YOU ONLY FAIL WHEN YOU GIVE UP.

If you persist and develop a new habit, you can create a new habit again after those 66 days. This way, you can teach yourself a new habit every 66 days, resulting in becoming a successful person.

And realize…

EVERYTHING THAT YOU NOW FIND EASY, YOU ONCE FOUND DIFFICULT.

#04. Blaming Circumstances

If something doesn’t work out for you, whose fault is it? People who fail always blame the circumstances instead of seeing opportunities to grow.

Do you recognize this in yourself? Do you blame others or circumstances when you fail? If so, I want to tell you right now: STOP!

The victim role won’t take you any further. If there’s one thing I’ve learned and that has brought one of the biggest breakthroughs in my life, it’s taking personal leadership!

No one has to tell you what to do, and you don’t have to tell other people that they did it wrong. You are not responsible for the actions of others, and situations outside your sphere of influence cannot be controlled. Don’t bother with that and always see problems as opportunities to grow. Every time I find myself in a situation where I think, “Hmmm, I should have done that differently,” it’s a learning moment so that I handle the same situation differently next time. This way, you ensure that you don’t fail in your life.

LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES INSTEAD OF POINTING FINGERS.

#05. Forgetting to Grow

Successful people know that life is about growing and developing, to be a little better every day than the day before. If we stop growing, we stop living. Then we would live in the whirlwind of the day, have no control over what our lives would look like, and experience many ups and downs in our happiness.

STOPPING TO GROW IS STOPPING TO LIVE.

Take at least one thing every day that ensures you grow as a person. Growth ensures that you have the satisfying feeling that you are involved in something greater in the world than just living and being led by the whirlwind of the day.

#06. Distraction

Distraction is the biggest killer in terms of productivity. Instead of focusing on daily tasks and achieving goals, many people let themselves be distracted every day by social media, WhatsApp, the news, and so on.

In an upcoming article, I will share the best advice on how not to be distracted anymore. When you follow this advice, you will see how you can work continuously in a flow and even unlock your true human potential.

Successful people do not let themselves be distracted. I work daily in my own bubble of total focus. No one can distract me at that moment. How do I do that?

  • My mobile phone is turned off.
  • I only have the tab open that I need.
  • My workplace is neatly organized.
  • I drink enough during work, and I also take the right supplements to stay focused.

Stop investing all your valuable time in ‘busywork’ and trivial things and invest your time wisely in things that really matter: your life’s work

PEOPLE WHO LET THEMSELVES BE DISTRACTED ARE THE PEOPLE WHO FAIL.

Successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them. They stay focused on their past successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they need to take to get them closer to the fulfillment of their goals rather than all the other distractions that life presents to them. - Jack Canfield

#07. Low Self Confidence

I see it happening so often around me; people who fail have low self-confidence.

And the peculiar thing is, people with low self-confidence look for the cause outside themselves. I have news! Self-confidence has everything to do with TRUSTING YOURSELF. If you don’t keep agreements with yourself, this will cause your self-confidence to drop.

Think of a moment when you…

  • We were going to exercise but didn’t do it;
  • We’re going to finish an assignment but chose to do something else;
  • Canceled an appointment with a silly excuse; etc.

Successful people have a tremendous amount of self-confidence, but that wasn’t always the case. These people, no matter how successful they are now, were once insecure too. But by practicing continuously, persevering, not giving up, and keeping their own word, they developed high self-confidence.

So, be honest with yourself:

  • Do you always keep agreements with yourself?
  • Do you always act with good intentions?
  • Do you always do your best?

If the answer to any of these questions is no, then the chances are that this is the reason for your low self-confidence.

It’s time to keep agreements with yourself so that you become successful in life and don’t fail.

#08. Lack Of Focus On Own Process

As I mentioned above, people who fail are the ones who give up. You can’t fail if you don’t give up. That’s also why successful people are successful. They never give up and will always focus on their larger goal and their own process. People who fail are not fully present in their own process and are more concerned with the process of others:

  • He started later but is already more successful, how is that possible?
  • Maybe I should do the same as him; he is successful after all.
  • I wish I were like…

Do you recognize any of these thoughts? There’s a good chance you’re too preoccupied with other people’s lives. I know better than anyone how important it is to be 100% focused on my own goal. Many years ago, I used to be jealous here and there of people who “had a better life.” I believed that money didn’t make you happy and that people with a lot of money were scammers, etc.

Look at Your Own Process

So, I was always busy with other people’s lives and pointing fingers instead of concentrating on my own process. When I started spending more and more time on personal development, it became increasingly clear to me that I had to focus on my own process.

From the moment I was engaged in my own process and kept going non-stop (no matter what!), that’s when I really started to discover how to become successful in life.

PEOPLE WHO ARE SUCCESSFUL NEVER GIVE UP, THEY ARE OBSESSED!

You might get the jitters from the above quote, but if you want to be successful, you have to be obsessed. You have to have a burning desire. You must never give up and always keep going! That’s the only way you become successful.

FOCUS ON YOUR OWN PROCESS AND GIVE IT 100% OF YOUR ATTENTION!
